I spent last Saturday at the Carmarthenshire Young Farmers Clubs Rally. As ever, the competition was fierce and the standard high. With the weather in our favour it was a chance for us all – the competitors and the spectators, to enjoy the fun and the spectacle of the day.
Our theme in Wales this year was ‘Weddings’ and so as I’m sure you can imagine, the Showground in Carmarthen was full of brides and grooms and bridesmaids dressed in frocks of all colours and designs! And I was there in the middle of it all as the Minister for Llanfynydd Young Farmers Club and got to ‘marry’ my brother Eirian and his girlfriend Jasmine, with Cai, our neighbour as bridesmaid. It’s worth taking a look at our photo on the Ffermio website! http://www.ffermio.tv/?page_id=1373&album=1&gallery=12
The Queen (Louise Jones, Cwmann YFC) and her attendants (Catrin Davies, Llangadog YFC, Mair Jones, Llanarthne YFC, Carys Evans, Abernant YFC, and Buddug James, Penybont YFC) looked beautiful in their dresses and at the end of the day, Rhian Howells Jones – the Chair of Carmarthenshire announced that Llangadog YFC had won both the Senior and the Junior Section – quite an achievement!

Ffermio is taking a break for a few weeks, but will be back on S4C on Monday June 3rd.
