Welsh Charolais Suckler Herd of The Year Open Day
Over 200 farmers and myself recently went to an Open Day at Twll y Gwyddil Farm in Craig Cefn Parc near Swansea where the farmer, Alun Jacob had received the prize for the best Suckler herd in Wales using a Charolais sire. Dewi Hughes from Hybu Cig Cymru was co-ordinating the day whilst Ian Pritchard from the Scottish Agricultural College gave a lecture on why Twll y Gwyddil was awarded the prize.
