Limousin National Show – Carlisle 2011

Back in July I went to the Limousin National Show in Carlisle. This report includes my own personal experience of taking the cattle to the Show, and also my visit to the Haltcliffe herd open day under Matt and Craig Ridley’s expertise in Wigton, Cumbria whilst I was in the area. There was also an excellent sale of 18 Haltcliffe heifers there on the day, with big prices to be seen. The Limousin National Show celebrating 40 years of the breed in the UK also received a lot of attention, with the judge Aled Edwards from Llandovery having a hard time with the standard that was there with competitors having travelled from every corner of the country.
